Do most doctors have assistants?
I know they have nurses on hand to help, but do doctors have their own assistants who maybe deal with phone calls, making appointments, and so on? I figure most of them have assistants or just people there to answer calls when needed. I suppose if it's a doctors office, they won't have assistants but receptionists. But, I mean an assistant in the sense that they only help the doctor.
Most should, but I don't think all doctors have assistants. I know a lot of them have nurses who will often take calls as well, but if it's a doctors office with many doctors, it's possible they may have an assistant to take on other tasks that nurses don't do.
