I don't want to pay these fees

I just received my balance sheet for next semester, which shows 24000 in tuition and 4000 in additional fees, with insurance at 2000 and student life at 300. When I returned after a leave of absence in the autumn, I expected the costs would be eliminated. Is this a common occurrence for everyone? Who should I contact if I don't want to pay these fees? Please let me know if you have any information. Thanks

Last semester, they compelled us to pay for student life and medical on-campus services as well... so your assertion seems to be correct.

Unfortunately, there is no way to avoid them. It's also nonsense in my opinion.

You can cancel/get a waiver if you don't need the insurance (e.g., you're covered by your parents' plan and won't be in NYC, therefore your parents' plan will still operate).

I am from Denmark, and here at university I pay DKK 45,000 per year (around 6,000 euro). This seems quite low compared to UK and USA, with still a good education.
